Sahdev Yadav Appointed As New President Of IWF

Former IWLF Secretary-General Sahdev Yadav was elected President of the Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF)

Highlights:

• The election also saw the appointment of S.H. Anande Gowda and Naresh Sharma because of the new Secretary-General & Treasurer of IWLF. 
• Also, 10 new Vice Presidents, 4 Joint Secretaries & 7 executive committee members were also elected.
• The election was conducted by official Narinder Paul Kaushik, Delhi District Court.
• Rakesh Gupta, joint secretary of, Indian Olympic Association was present as the IOA observer. 
• Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu had won India`s first-ever Olympic medal during the Tokyo Games when she claimed a silver within the 49kg category.
